Composition: Each 100 gm powder contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate BP 34.5 gm equivalent to 30 gm Amoxicillin.
Indication: Moxacil-Vet Powder is indicated in wide range of infections of respiratory tract, GI tract, Urinary tract etc.
Specific Indication for Poultry: Enteritis due to E. coli & Clostridial infections & infection caused by Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Fusiformis spp. E. coli, Klebsiella, Shigella, Salmonella, Proteus, Brucella & Pasteurella & secondary infections following viral & mycoplasmal infections.
Specific Indication for Animal: Gastroenteritis, Bronchopneumonia, Umbilical infection, Polyarthritis, Pasteurellosis, Salmonellosis, Stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Urinary tract infections, secondary infections following viral infections.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry: 15-30 mg / kg b. wt. or, 1 gm / 3-5 litre drinking water for 5 days.
Calves: 25-45 mg / kg b.wt. for 5 days.
Dogs & Cats: 30-60 mg / kg b. wt. for 5 days.
Dosage interval: 12 hours.
Fish & Shrimp: 50-60 mg / kg fish for 5-7 days.
Contraindication & Precaution: Moxacil-Vet Powder is contraindicated in penicillin hyper sensitive animals. It should not be administered to small herbivores such as rabbits, guinea pigs etc. In renal impairment the excretion of the antibiotic will be delayed and depending on the degree of impairment it may be necessary to reduce the daily dose.
Side Effect: Side effects are rare, mild & infrequent. As with other penicillin, it may include diarrhoea, indigestion or skin rashes, which usually stop during treatment & rarely calls for discontinuation of therapy.
Withdrawal Period: Calves – 4 days, Broiler – 3 days, Layer – 10 days.
Storage Condition: Store in a cool & dry place, out of reach of children. Protect from light and moisture.
